KIDS SAFETY JIU JITSU
A Proactive Shield for Your Child
We believe that safety is a partnership. By combining abduction prevention and anti-bullying strategies with physical self-defense, we provide a proactive shield for our students. We teach children to:
-
Recognize Danger: Identify "Tricky People" and lures rather than just "strangers".
-
Set Firm Boundaries: Use "Voice Anchoring" and "The Lion's Roar" to manage distance.
-
Neutralize Threats: Master non-striking techniques to stabilize a threat until help arrives.
-
Build Identity: Transition from a "Student" to a "Martial Artist" and a leader in the community.

Our curriculum addresses the urgent reality of the risks children face today:
-
Abduction Risk: For children under 8, family abductions are the second most common missing child case type.
-
Trafficking & Grooming: Florida is the third-largest hub for human trafficking, with online grooming now targeting elementary-aged children via gaming platforms.
-
Bullying: Statistics show that 20% of Kindergarteners and 33% of elementary students report being bullied often.

The Family Engagement Plan: Your Role in the "Safety Net"
At C.U.T.S., parents are active architects of their child's safety. We provide families with:
-
The Safety Vocabulary: A terminology guide so the same language used on the mat is reinforced at home.
-
Monthly Safety Quests: Simple homework assignments, like establishing a Family Secret Code Word or identifying neighbor "Safe Spots".
-
Progress Tracking: Updates on your child's "Safety IQ," including eye contact and voice projection.
